- DIN 985 compliant, low-profile nylock nuts do not support ISO 898-2 compliant test loads
- To differentiate, the hardness class designation has vertical bars before and after the hardness code.
DIN 985 replaced with ISO 10511. There is some limited similarity (threads M7, M18, M22, M27, and M33, and nominal diameter M36 > threads removed | fine thread removed | nut height changed | M10, M12, and M14 width across flats changed to 16, 18, and 21 millimetres | hardness classes changed to 04 and 05).
