- Used to attach pieces similarly to grooved cylinder pins
- Can be used as screw sleeves in applications exposed to significant shear forces
- Less strain on bolts and screws, allowing smaller sizes to be used
- 0.2–0.5 mm oversize compared to the nominal diameter guarantees a secure, firm fit
- Thanks to the tapered end, the component is easy to insert into the hole
- Pins can be removed again without damage occurring
