ReStart Autotest automates the testing of the residual current circuit breaker. When the RCCB trips, ReStart performs an insulation check before automatic reclosing. If the fault is caused by ground leakage current, ReStart will not reset the breaker but will continue monitoring the circuit at 2-minute intervals and reclose it only when the electrical system is safe.

During this time, the integrated and configurable auxiliary contact changes state to indicate that automatic reclosing has not been carried out. This improves system monitoring and enables the status signal to be used, for example, in control logic or remote monitoring applications.

NOTE. The automatic test function tests the RCCB every 28 days without interrupting the power supply, thereby maintaining the long-term performance of the residual current protection device.
