Type A residual current device for mounting in apparatus box. Device contains connectors for connecting outlets, luminaires, etc. Residual current device rated current 16 A, rated residual current 30 mA. It protects against life-threatening currents passing through the body when directly or indirectly touching live parts; also prevents fires. The residual current device shuts off power in case of fault. The residual current device protects all devices and cables connected to the outlet. Connectors (L N) accept other “normal” outlets or current-using equipment, provided they are shielded. Note: A protective conductor (PE) must also be connected!
