With their great luminous flux, OSRAM HQL LED HB narrow-angle luminaires are perfect for high production or storage spaces where mercury-arc lamps have been used. HQL LED HB lamps can be used with a choke or directly with a 230 V mains supply.
HQL LED HB lamps are bigger and heavier than traditional discharge lamps. Therefore the luminaire’s (especially the lampholder’s) ability to withstand the weight must be checked before mounting. We recommend using the safety wire included. HQL LED lamps are not suitable for use with HCI/HQI/NAV starters or semiconductor ballasts. We also recommend removing the compensation condensator, which reduces the fixture’s power coefficient, and any reflectors. Use in tight luminaires is not recommended.
