Wedged lock washer - effectively protects transversely loaded, vibrating and vibrating screw connections from loosening
General information:
A wedge lock washer according to the DIN 25201 standard that prevents the loosening of transversely loaded, oscillating and vibrating screw connections.
Operation:
Two serrated washers combine in a wedge fashion, ensuring an extremely durable hold. The screw connection is held fast by pre-tension instead of friction.
Benefits:
- Easy assembly and disassembly (notched tab washers come pre-glued into pairs)
- Locking with screws tested (locking elements prevent screw from opening) with both high and low pre-tension
- Particularly suitable for dynamic stress - even with lubricants
- Reusable with consistent quality
- Does not harm surfaces
- Available in stainless and regular steel (other materials available on request)
- Available with narrow and wide contact area
In screw-nut connections, a pair of wedge lock washers must be used both under the head of the screw and under the nut. Torque recommendations are laid out in DIN/ISO list specifications.
